Short project description: Several severe production outages and an aged production datacenter in the office location central Amsterdam and pressure of the DNB (Dutch State Back), forced Binckbank to rethink their IT strategy and rebuild / move their critical business applications and IT platform to a new state of the art datacenter (Equinix) and move the development (DTA) environment from Tele2 to the KPN Cybercenter datacenter. At the same time Binckbank moved office to join the Alex department in Amsterdam Bijlmer. As a consequence of that the board decided to rethink and redesign the project execution process.
Objectives: Improve business services availability, lower maintenance cost, 14 Mio Project, Department size (10 FTE), project team size 50 FTE, relocate Binckbank’ Business Applications in Vijzelstraat/KPN Cybercenter datacenter to datacentre to Equinix Datacenter, Move Office environment Vijzelstraat to location Amsterdam Bijlmer, Migrate Mission Critical Business Applications (e.g. DayTrader) SQL2000 Applications to SQL2005, Optimize (Waterfall-Iterative) Software Development and delivery Process, manage business & IT projects
